The FAO Representative welcomed all to the inception workshop. He stated that the National Adaptation Plans aim to reduce the vulnerability to the impacts of climate change, by building adaptive capacity and resilience. He further stated that the NAPs also seek to facilitate the integration of climate change adaptation into new and relevant policies programmes and activities with special reference to development planning processes and strategies within all sectors and at different levels.
