Study of the Coconut Value Chain in Equatorial Guinea
The SCALA programme, through its Private Sector Engagement Facility, collaborated with the Government of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea on a study of the coconut value chain ecosystem, identifying it as a promising and climate-resilient crop. The study involved collecting and analyzing secondary data, along with a field mission during which interviews were conducted with representatives from public institutions, private and international organizations, and coconut producers, collectors, and intermediaries in the cities of Bata and Malabo and across the continental coast. The information in the study includes the main findings, lessons learned, conclusions, and relevant recommendations.
