National Drought Study | Cambodia, 2020
There have been many drought incidences in Cambodia, but limited evidence regarding their underlying factors. This national drought study is an effort to develop and propose nationally adopted drought indicators for the country, integrating global academic literature and technical reports on drought in Cambodia. The study intended to localize the existing regional drought platform and validate this information using available data from Cambodia. It is expected that the findings of this study could provide discourse on setting up thresholds for drought monitoring, essential for drought early warning system in Cambodia.
