In Costa Rica, the SCALA programme and the FAO Global Soil Partnership continue to make significant strides in its mission to recarbonize soils, with Costa Rica leading the way as a pioneer in its implementation. Over 45 cattle and coffee farms are participating in this groundbreaking effort, implementing sustainable practices like grazing management and erosion control.
The country, with the support of the SCALA programme, is aiming to scale recarbonization efforts to over 2 million hectares.
