About the Adaptation Fund Climate Innovation Accelerator (AFCIA)

The UNDP-Adaptation Fund Climate Innovation Accelerator (AFCIA) programme is designed to support locally-led adaptation practices tools, and technologies that will result in improved community resilience to climate change. Its goal is aligned with the implementation of the Paris Agreement and the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda. 44 micro and small grants have already been awarded to locally-led organizations across 32 countries. Each innovative solution strengthens the capacity of communities to adapt to climate change and provides economic, social, and environmental benefits
