Climate resilience in action! SCRALA project launches community irrigation scheme to improve water access for farmers hit by drought crisis

In June 2024 under the GCF-funded 'SCRALA' climate resilience project, Zambia's Minister of Agriculture launched an irrigation scheme in Chirundu District. Coming at a critical time, with the country continuing to face severe drought driven by El Niño, the scheme will increase water access for all year round and boost food security and household income.
