How small grants are supporting locally-led practices, tools and technologies for climate adaptation

The Adaptation Fund Climate Innovation Accelerator (AFCIA) implemented by the United Nations Development Programme is a US$16 million programme funded by the Adaptation Fund and the European Union. Through micro and small grants, it accelerates the development of locally-driven innovative practices, tools, and technologies for climate change adaptation in communities from developing countries. In October 2023, Manila, the Philippines, hosted a global UNDP-AFCIA workshop, bringing together representatives from the 44 supported organizations spanning 33 countries.
